She graduated from the School of Computer Science of Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2003 with a PhD in Engineering.She is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Wuhan University of Technology.She was selected for the New Century Outstanding Talents Support Programme of the Ministry of Education of China, awarded the Outstanding Youth Fund of Hubei Province, selected for the first batch of Hubei High-end Talents Leadership Cultivation Programme, and awarded the Huo Yingdong Teachers' Fund of the Ministry of Education of China. He has won three second prizes of Hubei Provincial Natural Science Award, one second prize of Hubei Provincial Teaching Achievement Award, and the fifth "Microsoft Scholar" award.

She has presided over more than 10 national projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key Research and Development Programme; more than 10 provincial and ministerial projects, such as the Doctoral Funds for Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education of China, the Hubei Key Research and Development Programme, and the Key Projects of the Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province; and more than 10 provincial and ministerial projects, such as the projects of Huawei Technology Co. Ltd, Inner Mongolia Machinery Group, Yangtze River Planning and Design Institute, Maanshan Research Institute of Sinosteel Group, Shenzhen Land Development Research Centre and other enterprises and institutions for more than 10 projects. He has published high-level papers in TITS, TNSM, JPDC, TIV and other important international journals, and has been granted more than 20 national invention patents.
